Lonnie Fitz Obituary Lonnie Jerald Fitz Born in Clovis, NM March 22,1964 to Delton and Vickie Fitz Lonnie passed away June 10, 2024, in Lubbock, TX Lonnie graduated from Roosevelt Highschool in 1982. He then joined the Navy where he served on the USS Canopus and was discharged honorably in 1990. He married Carol Adams November 1, 1990, and in 1991 they were blessed with their first daughter Ashley, and their second daughter Brittany in 1993. Lonnie was a diesel mechanic, welder, truck driver and jack of all trades. Lonnie could rebuild an engine or redesign a piece of farm equipment; no challenge was too big or small. If you couldn't find Lonnie at home, he was often at his favorite fishing hole catching bass or crappie. Lonnie was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents Delton and Vickie Fitz, siblings Kerry Fitz (Teresa), Sherri Fitz, daughters Ashley Davis (J.C.) and Brittany Fitz (John), 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. Laughin' Lon would give you the shirt off his back, was the most caring and tender man that many were blessed to know. He was an incredible son, beloved brother, special father and most-loved Poppi.
