Lloyd Edwards, Jr Obituary Lloyd Vernard Edwards, Jr. passed away March 5, 2012 after giving 69 years of his life to those he loved and to the community he served. He was born May 12, 1942 in Flint Michigan to Lloyd Vernard Sr. and Fedalias (Crank) Edwards. Lloyd Jr. married Carol Marie Anderson on November 21, 1964. He was a successful salesman, selling building supplies, in California for 45 years. Lloyd's passion was serving his family and community. He served his community, in California, in the capacity of president and trainer for the volunteer fire department, a volunteer firefighter, ambulance driver, and emergency medical technician for 20 years. He was a civic minded, community service man, generously giving himself to the community. Lloyd Jr. retired in 2005 and moved back to Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carol of 47 years, three sons, Lloyd III, Jim and Joe Edwards; one daughter Janet Carty; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; "mother" Nancy Edwards; two brothers Vic Jones and Jeff Edwards; a sister Karen Adams; and many neices and nephews.
