Lisa London-Bishop Obituary A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Redeemer Church, Lubbock, Texas, with Pastor Nick Miersma officiating. Lisa, a beloved mother, sister, and daughter left her bodily prison at 9:10 p.m., November 10, 2011, and now rests with the Lord. Lisa Renee London-Bishop was born at 11:55 a.m., August 9, 1971, at Groom hospital, to Michael Ruth and John London. She grew up and lived all over Texas but spent the bulk of her adult life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Lisa graduated from Martin High School in Arlington in 1989. Two years later Lisa was blessed with her first of three children, her only daughter Shelby Renee. Lisa's first son would follow in 1993; Mathew Austin. Later, in 1996, her youngest, TJ, would arrive. Lisa's children were everything to her, from the moment they came into her life until the moment she left this world; they were the meaning of her existence. She was blessed again in 2010 when a grandson, CJ, was born. Lisa worked very hard throughout her life at various jobs, all in order to make those around her happy. She could not sit down and be comfortable without first ensuring all others comfort. Lisa admired all of her family; her extended family currently reaches all through the United States. She was the baby, and has always been treated as such, claiming herself as "fortunate" to have such a great family. Like many modern families, Lisa benefited from the input of two sets of parents. John and Anita London plus Cotton and Michael Jones contributed to the upbringing of this truly good person. In addition, Lisa took pride in every individual sibling who walked beside her in life. She had five brothers Ricky Jay Jones, Garry Don Jones, Johnny Vineyard London, Mark Allen London, and Dustin Dwayne Jones; plus three sisters, Sherry Jones Hawkins, Vicki Lynn Jones, and Sherry Lynell Carter. Lisa had a brilliant mind when she chose to use it. In the fall of 2010 Lisa graduated with straight A's and became a certified medical assistant. Her plan was to work in the medical field which she grew to love. Sadly, she did not get that chance. Lisa endured a 2 year battle with bone marrow cancer, and its subsequent complications, without a complaint or bout of self pity. Remaining strong to the end, Lisa always had a foreword looking attitude and gave herself to the bone for the ones she loved.
