Lela Kaye
Neagle
Aug 2, 1951 — Mar 28, 2012
Lela Neagle Obituary My mother Lela Kaye Neagle went to be with our Lord on March 28, 2012. Lela was born August 2nd 1951. Mother passed from this life peacefully in Lubbock Texas where she resided with my Aunt Ella and Uncle Richard. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Sylvie Taylor and Nephew D.C. Taylor. She is survived by myself, her son Michael Neagle Jr. (Wife Lisa), sister Ella Taylor (Husband Richard), brother Ted Taylor (Wife Dawn), 6 grandchildren - Justin, Brittany, Gavin, Gage, Truston and Tagen, niece Deanna Taylor, nephew Richie Taylor and their families. My mother always considered my cousins and their families as her own. Born to a hard working family, mother was raised on a cotton farm in Lorenzo Texas where they attended the Lorenzo Church of Christ . She graduated from Lorenzo high school and later the International Business College in Lubbock Texas. She always claimed her greatest accomplishment in life was me, but as I remember her stories she loved working in her family business of Taylor's Drive In at Idalou Texas. That was before my time. During my childhood she worked several years for Dr. Capps in Idalou and thoroughly loved it. Dr Capps ran a Christian based family practice and I believe that is what made it so rewarding for her. She later worked in a successful career as a technical consultant for several major wireless companies. The love my mother gave me could only come because she loved God first. It is the closest to him I have ever been. As I say goodbye, I can only say back to her the first thing she ever taught me. "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen"
