Laura Sproles Obituary Laura Jean Sproles passed away on November 27, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 6th, 1957 to Lorn Bullock and Janet Heslip in Lansing Michigan where she grew up with her brothers and sisters; Penny, Rocky, Candy and Melinda "Lynn". She is preceded in death by her father and mother and her children's fathers, Timothy Waters and David Holmes. She is survived by her husband, Leon Sproles, her children: Melissa Waters, Chad Holmes and Justin Sproles. As well as, her 6 grandkids: Shane Jensen, Aric Jensen, Myrl Welch, Tasia Holmes, Dylan Holmes and Trevin Holmes. Laura moved to Lubbock in 1983 with Melissa and Chad, where she met the love of her life Leon in December of 1983. They got married on February 23, 1985. Later, had their son Justin. They shared a beautiful life together with lots of family and friends. She loved to sing and dance and she made sure to pass those passions down to her grandkids, making many many memories. She enjoyed going to their cabin at Lake J.B. Thomas where fun, fishing, swimming, and campfire stories were told, not to mention, the AMAZING fish fries she cooked up! Laura had a passion for kids and the elderly. She owned and ran an at home day care for several years before switching her career path to working in assisted living homes caring for the elderly. She had such a vibrant personality and her light shined through to anyone that she met. There was never a dull moment when she was in the room. Laura Jean will be greatly missed by those of us left behind. There will be a closed visitation for immediate family on November 29th, 2023 provided by Agape Funeral Chapel. Services
