Kimberley Tolonen Obituary Ms. Kimberley Tolonen, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 49. On March 22, 1968 Ross and Mary Hood welcomed their daughter Kimberley into the world. She graduated from Estacado High, and moved on to pursue higher education with an interest in nursing. She graduated Nursing School with honors from South Plains College. She later returned to complete a degree in Business Administration. In the summer of 1991, she married Paul Tolonen. Kimberley was inspired by the arts. Her imagination knew no boundaries and a good book was one of her greatest pleasures. George R.R. Martin quoted, A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, but the man who never reads lives only one. Kimberley thrived from her ability to cultivate her intellectual mind and nourish her imagination. Although modest, she excelled at a wide range of skills, many of which she learned through her lifelong passion for reading. It should come as no surprise that the library was her second home. If she wasn't diving into a book, she was outdoors tending to her garden. She treated the earth as an artist would treat a canvas, taking delight in the beauty that nature offered. In her late years, Kimberley found solace in the practice of meditation and prospered from a deep spiritual connection. Kimberleys legacy will live on through her two children Marquaie Teutsch, and Xerius Tolonen. She is survived by her brother Rob Hood and his wife Diana Hood. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tolonen; her parents, Ross and Mary Frances Hood; and her grandparents Frank and Alice French. Services for Kimberley Tolonen will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 31, at Agape Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Services
