Obituary

Juanita Bennett Obituary Can you imagine having one of your most intimate dreams come true? How long have you been waiting for yours? Reverend Juanita Louise Wardle Bennett passed from this world on Sunday, October 25th, 2015. Rejoice!! Mama has gone HOME! The family and friends who loved Juanita will miss her dearly, as will others whose lives she touched. Juanita was not easily forgottenshe really got under your skin! She loved life and people kept her busy as a Mother, Minister, and Caregiver. She had an infectious laugh, and her eyes twinkled when she smiled. She was a pushover for babies and people down on their luck always willing to share with one or many whatever was within her means. For the last eleven (11) years, her constant companion was her cat, Tiger, who will continue to live with family. Born in Illinois and raised in Iowa, Juanita met and married Claude Vester Bennett (deceased 2004) in 1947. She moved to Texas with her husband and children in 1961. Surviving her are seven (7) children: Patricia Riddle, who recently moved from California to Comfort, Texas; Donna Higginbotham, Steven (Ben) Bennett, Loretta Bennett, Melody Martin, Ronald Bennett, all of Lubbock; and Jay Bennett of Wolfforth; eight (8) grandchildren and nine (9) great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, one (1) grandchild and one (1) great-grandchild. Viewing will be on Saturday, October 31st, from 2-4pm at Agape Funeral Chapel, 6625 19th St # 103, Lubbock, TX 79407, (806) 722-2442. Please refer to this website (www.agapefuneralchapel.com/) for questions. There will be no formal service; she will join her husband in interrment at Arlington Cemetary, and there will be no graveside services. All who consider Juanita and/or her family as friends, family, or a positive influence on their lives are welcome to join us in a glorious send-off on what would have been Juanitas eightyseventh (87th) Birthday! And, its Halloween! Lets be happy for herher Spirit is already gone and she wanted us to celebrate her life. So, lets sing and pray and tell stories, if we like. See you there. God Bless you all.
