John Murcheski Obituary John Christian Murcheski passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his home in Lubbock, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church located at 6202 Milwaukee Avenue, Lubbock, Texas at 1:00 p.m. John was born on October 8, 1944 in Plainview, Texas. He attended school in Venezuela and Plainview, Texas and graduated from Plainview High School in 1965. He joined the Army on November 22, 1974 and served as a Hawk Missile Crewman and later joined the Texas National Guard. He was honorably discharged on June 11, 1982. He married the love of his life, Patricia Hackler Murcheski, on January 3, 1980. He went on to graduate from South Plains College in May of 1980. He enjoyed working as a mechanic and held various jobs throughout his life. John was a genuinely friendly person that loved sharing stories with anyone he met. He enjoyed working, attending church functions and spending time with his family and friends. One of his great passions was travelling, and he attended the annual Anaco-San Tome Venezuela Reunion in Austin, Texas regularly. John is survived by his son Aaron Murcheski of Midland, TX and daughter Tracy Murcheski of Lubbock, TX and their significant others, Adabel Z. Estrella and Drew Speigel; his two brothers, Steve and Joe Murcheski of Plainview, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley W. Murcheski and Frankye Ziegler Murcheski, his wife Patricia Hackler Murcheski, and his brother Bill Murcheski. Services
