John Kaelin Obituary A memorial service for John Samuel Kaelin, 28, of Lubbock, Texas will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at New Hope Four Square Church, 10701 Indiana Ave in Lubbock. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Scott. John was born November 8, 1988 in Abilene, Texas and passed away on January 28, 2017 in Lubbock. John was born in Abilene, Texas to parents John Davis Kaelin and Dawn Louise (Schneider) Kaelin. John spent his early years in the country west of Rochester, Texas. He grew up in Big Spring, Texas and graduated high school in Justin, Texas. Five days after high school graduation John shipped off for a five year hitch in the United States Marine Corps where he had deployments to Afghanistan in 2010 and South Korea 2012-2013. In June 2013, John was honorably discharged from the USMC and returned to Lubbock, Texas where he was seeking a degree in computer engineering when he passed. John was preceded in passing by: paternal grandparents, Richard L. Kaelin and Dolores M. (Dobesh) Kaelin of Lubbock. Survivors include: maternal grandparents, Carl and Mary Schneider of Kingwood, Texas; parents, John D. and Dawn L. Kaelin of Lubbock; sisters, Rachel Ann Kaelin of Lubbock and Ruth Ellen Korson of Orlando, Florida; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services
