Jo Mercer, age 77, passed away on June 12, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. She was born November 28, 1948, in Chariton, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Mercer; her parents Dean Oden and Esther Fullmer Oden; and brother Dennis Oden.

Jo is survived by her sisters Janice Blouch and Carolyn Oden; her children Ralph Clark, Jr. and Valerie Walker; grandchildren Luke Walker, Faith Roman and Meledy Ramos; and two great grandchildren.

Jo relocated to Lubbock, from Houston, TX in 1994. While in Houston, she persued a financial career in the banking industry; and then in Lubbock at the First Baptist Church.

Jo's love for the Lord Jesus was evident in her thoughtfulness, generosity and prayers for others. She was a member of Greenlawn Church of Christ. To continue her legacy of helping others, donations may be made to the Green Lawn Church of Christ Blessing Center.
