Jewel Self Obituary Jewel Lavern Self passed from this life Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Lubbock. She was born into this life Monday, August 20, 1928 to Benjamin Franklin and Ida Lucille (Mays) Nichols in Quanah. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband Glenn B Self in 200. She is survived by three daughters: Cindy Fergeson of Amarillo Texas, Jessica Blount and husband Barney of Lamesa Texas, and Shannon Draper and husband Tim of Carrollton Texas; five grandchildren: Tracye Henderson, Jackie Coursey, Monty Blount, Brandon Blount, and Cyndi O'Toole; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Stach of Amarillo Texas and Frankie Moore of Victorville CA; and one Brother, Gene Nichols of Hemit CA. A funeral service, to commemorate Jewel's 85 years of life, is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. May 5, 2014 at Second Baptist Church, Lubbock, with Mike Davis officiating; music by Jeff Bailey and Junior Vasquez . Burial will follow, at City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 – 11:30 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2014 at Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock.
