Born June 12, 1954 in Anchorage Alaska to James Dale and Imagene Walker Rogers.  At the age of 11 months old, they moved back to Lubbock, TX and 4 months later, Jerry contracted Polio.

Even though Jerry had the challenge of living with Polio, he met it with tenacity and strength. Jerry kept up with everyone when it came to playing in the neighborhood with his friends and siblings. He grew up tinkering with everything bicycles, motorcycles and cars. He was also quite a jokester and his sneezes could be heard in the next county! He delighted in sneaking up on and scarring everyone.

At the age of 15, he accepted Christ and was Baptized at Northside Church of Christ. He graduated from Lubbock Christian High School in 1972.  He married Sherry Johnson at Northside Church of Christ.  They welcomed their daughter Heather in December 1973.

Jerry saw much of our country while being employed as a long haul truck driver. He enjoyed outdoors, hunting, fishing and maintaining a beautiful lawn and garden. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Mom and Keith's Truby Ranch where he then got to tinker with wells, tractors, and golf carts.

Preceding him in death is his dad, James "Sonny" Rogers; his grandparents Fred and Annie Walker, Frank and Daisy Rogers; stepfather, Keith Young; as well as many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his Daughter Heather Rogers Craig; and granddaughters Ashley Foster (Jackson) and Caylie Herrington (Everett); mother Imagene "Gina" Walker Young; brother David Rogers (Sonya); sisters Debbie Hale (Larry), and Diane Botello (Tom); and several nieces and nephews.
