Jerry Moore Obituary Jerry "JD" Moore passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, surrounded by family after a fulfilling life. Born on August 13, 1950, in Clovis NM, to Eva and Buddy Moore, Jerry lived a life characterized by kindness, creativity, and dedication to his community. For 35 years, Jerry worked as a locksmith, starting one of the first mobile Auto unlocking businesses in Lubbock tirelessly helping those in need. His passion for assisting others, even strangers, was a defining aspect of his character. After retiring, Jerry embraced his creative side, spending his time painting, woodworking, crafting with leather, and immersing himself in books. He also developed a deep interest in geology and took great pride in tending to his beloved roses. Jerry is survived by his stepmother Nadine Moore, his daughters Trish Beres (Joseph) and Misty Meeker (Matthew Robertson), and his siblings Richard Moore (Judy), Vickie Fitz (Delton), Kathy Moore, Glenda Downey (David), Brandy Denison, and Cody Denison. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Travis, his sister Dana Powell, and a grandson. Services to honor Jerry's life will be held at Agape Funeral Home, 6625 19th Suite 103 in Lubbock, on September 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
