Janice Lee Stephens, age 64, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Janice was born on October 3, 1961, in Colorado City, Texas, to Earnest and Jessie Ridge, both of whom preceded her in death. She made her home in Lubbock, Texas, where she built a life centered around love, family, and connection.

Janice was a woman full of life; loving, outspoken, and full of humor. She had a way of making people feel at home the moment they walked through her door. Her home was a place of gathering, where family and loved ones were always welcomed with open arms, and where laughter was always present.

Janice found joy and peace in nature. She loved planting, flowers, spending time outdoors, and relaxing under her gazebo on a beautiful day. She also had a deep love for her dogs, Skylar and Precious, whom she cared for dearly.

More than anything, Janice loved her family. She loved deeply and showed up for those she cared about in a meaningful way. Her nieces and nephews were especially close to her heart - she loved them as her own and took great pride in being a part of their lives.

Janice will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unforgettable hugs, her laughter, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy of love and connection will live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her partner, Dale Hunter; sister, Wanda Ridge; her brothers, Cody Ridge, Patrick Ridge, and Tyrone Ridge; and her beloved nieces and nephews, along with extended family and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Jessie Ridge, and her brothers, John Ridge and Donald Ridge.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 PM at Agape Funeral Chapel in Lubbock, Texas.
