Janice Baum Obituary Janice Elaine Baum passed away on October 20, 2024 just 7 days short of her 76th birthday. Jan was born in Plainview, TX to J.C. and Flaudie Greene and grew up in Petersburg surrounded by extended family. After a short stint in Borger, TX and Kentucky, she returned to Petersburg where she became Postmaster and raised her family with her first husband Ray Porter. In 1999 she married Ronald (Bud) Baum and moved to Lubbock where she enjoyed retirement, traveling and playing bridge. Bud preceded her in death in June 2024. Jan is survived by her daughter Renae Cobb of Allen, her son Doug Porter and wife Julie of Keller and four grandchildren she adored – Courtney Cobb Moulton and husband Austin, Sarah Cobb, Jacob Porter and Carson Porter. She cherished her current bridge friends and her past Postmaster connections. The family is grateful for the care, friendship and support of Bud and Jan's long time caregivers, David Perez and Diana Quintana.
