James Hogan Obituary James Edwin Hogan, known to his loved ones as Jimmy, passed away on November 28, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on June 16, 1941, in Lubbock, Jimmy was a hardworking man who dedicated over 60 years of his life to farming in Lubbock County. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Jeanne McBroom Hogan, and his sons, Dustin Hogan and wife Heather of Shallowater, TX and Delton Hogan of Shallowater, TX. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters, Autumn Hogan of Austin, TX and Brittany Hogan Gugel and husband Jim Gugel of Springfield, MO, and Jae-Lyn Hogan of Springfield, MO. Additionally, Jimmy leaves behind his great grandsons, Mason Hogan, Waylon Gugel, and Jaylen Gugel, all of Springfield, MO. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Hogan, his mother, Ruth Maeora Tyler Hogan, and his sister, Betty Jo Hogan Robertson. Jimmy graduated from New Deal High School in 1959, and throughout his life, he found solace and community at the First Assembly of God church in Lubbock, TX where he was a member for over 60 years. Visitation will take place on December 4, 2023 at 12:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm, both at Agape Funeral Chapel. The service will be officiated by Pastor Tom Lakey (of Lubbock First Assembly of God) and Pastor Robert Hogan (of Spring First Church, Spring, TX).
