Dr. Henry Van Terrill, 95, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Albuquerque, N.M., died at his home under hospice care on Thursday, Aug, 20, 2026, exactly 17 years after his wife's passing. Cremation arrangements are by Agape Funeral Home of Lubbock. Private graveside services will be held in De Leon, Texas.

He was born April 21, 1931, in the family home in De Leon to Feltz and Etta Terrill. He married Cherry Sue Coan on Sept. 12, 1948, in De Leon. He attended TCU and UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He practiced as an internist and hematologist in Albuquerque for 36 years, retiring in 1996.

He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, backpacking, traveling, reading and watching the financial channel.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Susan. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lewis and husband, Kevin of Lubbock and Kim Terrill of Wolfforth, Texas; nephews Feltz Terrill and wife, Rhonda, and Jim Terrill of De Leon; and niece Anita Terrill Butler of Stephenville.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
