Helen Griffin Obituary Helen was born January 22, 1928 to George Maurice and Ida Lillian (Tapley) Perfitt. She married Lawrence N. Griffin on August 12, 1953. Helen was the "General" during her career at Husson College. She passed away March 11, 2012, in Lubbock, Texas. Helen was a beloved sister, wife, mother, and friend. Helen was preceded in death by her husband (2008), her parents, and a sister, Jaska MacKenzie. She is survived by four daughters, Nora Griffin-Shirley, Esther Lucey, Elteen Bogoslawski and husband Michael, and Eloise Griffin; grandchildren Stephanie Perkins and husband James, William Lucey Jr. and wife Melissa, Karia Bogoslawski, Timothy Bogoslawski, Sidney Kinser and husband Jeff. Great grandsons Patrick and Trevor Kinser, Jared Bellamy and Keagan Lucey; siblings: Audrey Dyer, Patricia Corey, Robert Perfitt, Donald Perfitt and wife Phyllis; and Numerous loving neices and nephews, friends, and coworkers who she loved dearly. A memorial service, to celebrate her 84 years of life, will be held in Maine at a later date.
