H Short Obituary H. J. Short, of Morton, passed from this life Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in Littlefield, at the Littlefield Hospitality House. He was born into this life Monday, August 20, 1934 to Marvin and Pat (Brumfield) Short in Wheeler, TX. H.J. served his country, enlisting in the Untited States Army. He worked many years in the construction business; then he had a fish-bait business in Arizona before returning home to Texas. H. J. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Loretta, a son Perry, a sister Betty Jane, and a brother Bobby. He is survived by four sons, Rocky, Timmy, Billy, and Jimmy; two daughters, Rachelle and Rhonda; a sister Marry Ann Hodge and husband Wilson of Morton; several grandchildren. A graveside service, to celebrate H.J.s 78 years of life, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 16, 2013 at Morton Memorial Cemetery, Morton, with Pastor Michael Janesse of First Missionary Baptist Church, Morton, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock.
