George Young Obituary George Lee Young was born October 28th, 1943, in Sulfur, OK. He passed away on Sunday May 25th, 2025. George will be remembered for his humor and stories and larger than life personality. He led a life of service volunteering to coach youth baseball, Boy Scouts, youth swimming and safety classes and HAM radio emergency response team. He was an avid pool player with APA. His distinguished professional roles included serving in the USAF, as aircraft mechanic; Brownfield Police Dept., USMC, developing logistics programs and USN, after an interservice transfer to become one of the first Religious Program Specialist; retiring as Chief Petty Officer. In retirement, he and Carlene operated Young's Crafts and Creations. He was preceded in death by his wife Carlene, his brothers Gary and Larry. George is survived by his three children Kevin Young, Dana Cooley, and husband Bill, and Lee Young, and wife Deanna. Grandchildren Eric, Kayla, Hayden, Devin, Billy, Emma, Erin, Ashlyn, Conner, Parker, and Carson. Memorial service will be held Friday May 30th at 3pm at Agape Funeral Chapel, 6625 19th Street, Lubbock TX. Services
