Gary Smith Obituary Gary Lee Smith passed from this life Friday, January 4, 2013, at Covenant Health Systems, Lubbock, Texas. He was born into this life Friday, April 21, 1950 to Charles Grey, Sr. and Lenora J. Smith in Brownwood, Texas. Gary served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged January 1972. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Grey Smith Sr. and Lenora Jo Adams; and a brother Charles Grey Smith Jr. He is survived by his "law brother" and sister, Ron and Lynda Belden of Alaska; his niece, Tara Wilmarth of Hawaii; and his nephew, Ron C. Belden of Alaska. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever" (Revelation 21:4). A private family memorial, to celebrate Gary's 62 years of life, will be held at the graveside. Per request of the family, please do not address floral deliveries.
