Floyd Wilson Swineford Jr. was born on August 16, 1972, in Batavia, New York, to Floyd Wilson Swineford Sr. and Sheila Ann Fournier both of Angelica, New York. He spent his childhood in the country hills of Western New York before moving to Lubbock, Texas, in 1984. Floyd passed away on August 2, 2026 peacefully at the age of 53, surrounded by his loving family.

Floyd was a skilled window cleaner who worked on both residential and commercial buildings. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, or strangers in need. A true jack of all trades and master of none, he would often give his last dollar or the shirt off his back to help someone else. Floyd treated everyone with kindness and respect and enjoyed bringing laughter and joy to others. One of his favorite hobbies was building model cars, many of which were lovingly sent to him by his mother.

Floyd was a free spirit who lived life on his own terms. He was the cool dad, the cool brother, and the cool uncle. Floyd's Italian Stallion, Freebird, Rapping, Fun Loving soul will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Floyd was preceded in death by his daughter, Love Swineford; two brother-in-laws, Timothy J. Clark, and Kevin L. Shay.  He is survived by daughters, Nikki Swineford, Lillianna Swineford, and Florissa Swineford, all of Lubbock; his lifelong partner, Melissa Cheek; and his stepchildren, Kimberly Jones, Angel Jones, Amber Jones, Brianna Jones, and Michaela Jones. Floyd dearly loved all of his girls and was immensely proud of each of them. He is also survived by his father, Floyd Wilson Swineford Sr.; and mother, Shelia Ann Fournier; his sisters, Lisa Lynn Clark-Shay of Angelica, New York, Betty Jo Swineford of Lubbock; and his brother, Woodrow Allen Swineford of Lubbock. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his humor and larger-than-life personality.

A Memorial Service to honor Floyd's life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Agape Funeral Chapel, 6625 W 19th Street Suite 103, Lubbock, Texas 79407.
