Felix Vargas Obituary A memorial service, for Felix Vargas, 75, of Lubbock, is scheduled for 4:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Flint Ave. Baptist Church,900 N. Flint Ave. Lubbock, TX 79415, with Pastor Mario Davila officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel. The Vargas family will receive friends immediately following the service. Felix was born Thursday, January 14, 1937, to Celso and Cruz (Ramirez) Vargas, in San Antonio, TX. He married Lucille Ramirez on Monday, April 21, 1969, in Plainview, TX. Felix went to work for Farmers Co-Op Cotton Compress, Lubbock, when he was 18 years of age (1957); retiring from the Co-Op in 1987, after 30 years of service. Felix passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at his home in Lubbock, TX. Felix was preceded in death by his father and mother, a step-father Amado Rodriguez, and a sister Esther Gomez. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lucille R. Vargas; a son Michael L. Vargas (who served 14 years in the U.S. Navy and has been enlisted in the Naval reserves for the past 6-years) and wife Michelle; a daughter Vanessa L. Davis and husband Victor; seven grandchildren, Ashley N. Amador, Andrew Vargas, Vantaza, Vaniya, Vamora, Victor, and Variya Davis; one brother, Amado Rodriguez; and four sisters, Adela Saucedo, Emma Guerrerro, Eva Pena, and Alice Ybarra.
