Ernesto Torrez, Sr Obituary Ernesto Torrez, Sr. passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. He was born Tuesday, November 24, 1953, in Brownfield, TX, to Jose and Antonia (Garcia) Torrez. Ernesto was a musician, loved God, and enjoyed his family. A memorial service, to celebrate Ernesto's 58 years of life, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 4, 2012, at Victory Christian Center with Tito Ortega officiating. Ernesto, Sr. was preceded in death by Jesse Torrez, Elida Guterrez, Librado Torrez, Alicia Alejandro, Simona Tobias, and Hilberto Torrez. He is survived by his children; Ernesto Torrez Jr., Jose Torrez Sr., Jesse Torrez and Janai Torrez, all of Michigan; Jose Deleon Jr., Jacob Deleon Ramon Torrez, and Nicole Torrez, all of Texas; 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and two ex-wives, Janie Torrez and Mary Torrez; He is also survived by; Ester Roijas and Antonia Alvarez of Van Wert, Ohio; Jose Torrez Jr., of Sundown, Texas; Juan Torrez of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Elma Torrez and Juana Echavarria of Ropesville, Texas; and Alejandro Torrez of Lubbock, Texas.Last but not least, a special prayer to Xzavier DaiVon Torrez, his heart and life, whom he raised from birth; "Papa" will always love and be with you.
