Obituary

Edward Burk Jr., 72, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1954, in Lubbock to Edward and Barbara Jean Burk. On November 20, 2009, Edward married Terry Lynn Curl.

Edward owned and operated Lonestar Contracting, dedicating himself to his work while building a life and creating memories along the way. Edward was a man who loved having fun and making others smile. Whether he was out playing a round of golf, spending time fishing, enjoying a hot dog barbecue, or making memories with the

people he loved most, he had a way of making time together meaningful. Edward had a love for painting on canvases and gifting them to others. Those who knew him will forever cherish the laughter, stories, and moments they shared with him.

Above all, Edward was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his Lord and his family. Edward lived a life filled with family, laughter, friendship, and a love for the simple things that made life special. His pride and joy was his 1952 F-100 pickup.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. Burk Sr. and Barbara Jean Burk; his sister, Deborah Jean Houk; and his daughter, Lisa Leann Burk.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Terry Burk; his son, Edward C. Burk III, and daughter-in-law, Megan Burk; his daughter Mandi Rae Burk; his brother, Benny Burk and wife, Eddie J. Burk; and his brother-in-law, Doug Houk. Edward leaves behind five grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and

great-nephews.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Edward is now in the arms of our Savior, resting in eternal peace. We take comfort in the promise of our faith that this goodbye is not forever. Until we meet again, Eddie, may you rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord. You will be loved, missed, and

remembered always.

Edward's final resting place will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, near his parents. Details of the celebration of life services will be shared at a later date.
