Obituary

Douglas Albert Rogers, age 75, was born on October 22, 1950 and passed away on September 22, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, warmth, and love. Known for always having a Coke, a smoke, and a joke at the ready, Doug was a truly special man who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Doug was married to Michele Rogers of Lubbock for 27 years. Together, they raised three daughters: Jill Trent (42) of Midland, Kacy Rogers (38) of Lubbock, and Sarah Rogers, who went before him in 2000. Following their divorce, Doug and Michele remained close, enduring friends until the end. He later married Connie Williams of Lamesa, with whom he shared many years of companionship and love.

Above all, Doug treasured his family. He is survived by Jill and husband, Joe of Midland; Kacy of Lubbock. He was the adoring "Papaw" to his three granddaughters: Kiah Trent (19), Marley Trent (13), and Jane Trent (8), all of Midland. Others left to cherish his memory are his wife Connie of Lamesa; stepson Dusty Williams, wife Jessica, and his children Darrion, Logan, and Seren; stepdaughter Abby Batchelor and husband Kerry of Reese Center, and daughter Jessica; brother Danny Rogers of Anton, dearest cousin Judy Campbell of Plano; and closest friends Clarence Milam and Jim Johnson.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sarah K. D. Rogers, and his parents Junior Albert and Betty Jo Rogers.

As a spiritual man whose beliefs guided his life, Doug was deeply curious about the world around him. He was an artistic soul who loved reading, science fiction, astronomy, jewelry making, and creating digital artwork. He was also proficient in the Hebrew language. He spent many fond hours connecting with his vibrant online communities of friends from across the country and around the globe (JJ's Coffee Shop and The Elder Grove).

Doug was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
