Douglas Peet, Sr. Obituary Douglas "Doug" Peet October 25, 1958 – December 27, 2025 Douglas "Doug" Peet was known for his kind heart and his gift for making people laugh. Whether through a quick joke or a warm smile, Doug had a way of lifting spirits and bringing joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Doug spent many years in the car business, a career he truly loved. He worked throughout El Paso, Texas; Las Cruces, New Mexico; Pahrump, Nevada; Artesia; and Carlsbad, including his time with Rick Peet Chrysler and Tate Branch Dodge. Doug took great pride in his work and valued the relationships and sense of purpose the car business brought him. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Peet and Reda Peet, and by his sister, Lori Richards. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Peet; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Luis Gutierrez; his son and daughter-in-law, Dougie and Stevie Peet; and his cherished grandchildren, Riley, Mercedes, and Luis. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Tony Presciano; his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Juanita Peet; and his brothers, Rick Peet and Joe Peet. In accordance with Doug's wishes, there will be a private family memorial. Dear Lord, we entrust Doug Peet into Your loving arms. May Christ Jesus welcome him to the promise of heaven, where there is no more pain of loss, only the love of God. Grant him eternal rest, O God, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.
