Donald Ferris, Sr Obituary Donald Edward Ferris, Jr. passed from this life Monday, November 12, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. He was born Thursday, October 23, 1924, to Carl and Stella (McAnally) Ferris, in Truscott, TX. Donald served his country in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1946. He married Juanita Swift on March 9, 1946, in Lubbock, TX. A graveside service, to celebrate Donald's 88 years of life is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at City of Lubbock Cemetery. The United States Navy will present burial honors. Pastor Wes Bygel will officiate the service. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock, TX. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Juanita in 2008; his parents; 3 brothers, C.L., Boyd, and Dan; and three sisters, Frances McDonald, and two who passed away as young children. He is survived by a son, Donny Ferris; grandson Cody Ferris; granddaughter, Kailyn Ferris; sisters, Janell Berry of Azle, TX, Jeanice Ferris of Snyder, TX; brothers, Robert Ferris of Halton City, TX, Jimmy Ferris of Spur, TX, and Johnny Ferris of Snyder, TX.
