David Swalley Obituary David Eugene Swalley passed from this life Friday, April 5, 2013, in Lubbock, TX. He was born into this life February 27, 1955 to Raymond Sr., and Lois Day (Harper) Swalley, in Hastings, Nebraska. David was a truck driver and a plumber; driving big-rigs was his first passion; he had many friends in both vocations, they will miss him. David was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Day, his step-father Kenneth Day, a sister Rita Freeman, and two brothers Raymond Swalley and Ron Swalley. He is survived by three children; two daughters, Amy Poyner and FiancAC. Nick of Lubbock, Jenifer Hernandez of Lubbock, and son John Swalley and wife Amanda of Alabama; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Hoppe, Justin, Jimmy and Connor Poyner, and Slade Swalley; his father Raymond Swalley Sr. and wife Jean of Missouri; two sisters, Diana Riffee of Nevada, and Kathy Kirby and husband Greg of Missouri; and three brothers, a twin brother Dean Swalley, Karl Mosley and Kevin Mosley, all of Missouri. A memorial service, to celebrate David's 58 years of life, is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Lubbock, with Brother Sargent officiating.
