Obituary

Darlene Pineda Obituary Darlene Pineda, known as Dallas to family and friends, 52 of Lubbock, Texas passed away July 13, 2015 at 12:24 pm surrounded by family at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas following a sudden illness. Darlene was born February 4th 1963 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was the seventh of eight children of Howard and Regina Hotchkiss. Darlene was a strong willed woman who held no punches. Who like it or not, told it like it was. Later in life she possessed a strong faith in god and while she didn't belong to a church she talked to him every day. Darlene loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to help others and more often than not, she put their needs before her own. She loved to bake and her favorite dish was her Italian sauce. She loved all of god's creatures but she had a special passion for dogs and horses. When you met Darlene you knew she was a special person you would not soon forget. Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Carlton Lahue, her mother, Regina, and her older brother, Howie. Darlene was survived by her fiance, John Trocchio: daughter Candice: son Carlton; brothers David; Charles; and John Hotchkiss of Connecticut; sisters Doreen Smeriglio; Karen Vidal; and Jeannette Hawley of Florida; and her grandchildren Armoni; and Braydon of Lubbock. Private gatherings to celebrate Darlene's life and mourn her passing will be held by family members in Lubbock and Connecticut. The family requests that donations be sent to giveforward.com in Darlene's name. Our heart felt thanks go out to all the folks at UMC who took care of Darlene and treated her and her family with dignity and respect. Services
