Daniel Clayton
Pennell
Sep 24, 1957 — Nov 29, 2012
Daniel Pennell Obituary Daniel Clayton Pennell was taken home Thursday, November 29, 2012. He was born Tuesday, September 24, 1957 to Willard Henry and Tanya (Del Marco) Pennell, in San Jose, CA. Dan was a hard working oil field worker, dedicated to the safety and well being of others. He loved his job and was always in tune with the rig; he would always say, "if people would just listen to her, she could tell them if something wasn't going right." Dan was also a very dedicated friend; he would help you, talk to you, and listen to you to the best of his ability, which was always 110%. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and practical jokes. Dan always made life so fun and awesome. He loved and adored his one and only sister Karen Chepa, and I appreciate and love her and all that she has done for Dan and I. Dan would make it seem like he had a roughneck attitude, but underneath it he had the most sensitive, loving, caring heart I have ever known in my lifetime. Daniel Clayton Pennell is going to be deeply missed; he will be loved and cherished always in the hearts of those he was close to and even those he just recently met. A special thank-you to the Rehabilitation place in Odessa that helped Dan with his hand; he just loved you guys and appreciated everything you did for him. Daniel Clayton Pennell was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Tanya Pennell. He is survived by his forever-companion Dawn M Garcia, Loving sister Karen Chepa and husband of Hanford, California; neice Lisa Chepa and her children Joseph Zandt of Lemoore, Chance, and Baylee Simpson of Santa C Latoya ,His ex-wife Shannon M Pennell of Cortez, Colorado. A memorial service, to celebrate Dan's 55 years of life, which will be held at 1118 45 street, Lubbock, will be scheduled at a later date. Friends may contact Dawn at dawngarcia38@yahoo.com. Dan believed if you can give to someone else then give, do not be stingy or look the other way. In honor of Dan, please make contributions to a charity of your choice.
