Daisy Willhite Obituary Services for Daisy Florence Willhite, 87, of Lubbock, will be at 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Oakwood Methodist Church, with Eddie Marcum officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Agape Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Daisy Florence was born Saturday, June 27, 1925 to Albert Dewy and Florence May (Kelton) Gilbert, in Andrews, TX. She lived in West Texas most of her life. After graduating from high school, she moved from the Midland area to Big Spring. Daisy worked on the military base there, where she met and married Harold Lee Willhite. He preceded her in death in 1966. Daisy worked at several jobs over the years, but loved her time working in the Atkins Junior High cafeteria. She enjoyed many things, including playing cards, cooking, and baking. Daisy devoted many, many years of service as a volunteer at Highland Hospital, now Grace Medical Center. Her volunteer work ended only three weeks ago. Daisy loved family get-togethers and especially the Kelton family reunion, every summer. She loved family and friends well, and all who knew her were blessed. Daisy passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Lubbock, TX. Daisy is survived by: Dennis Eugene Willhite, Lynda Elaine St.Clair, Bruce Owen Willhite, and wife Sylvia, six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The family of Daisy Florence Willhite will receive friends at Agape Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, August 28, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
