Cynthia S. Lateef, 68, of Lubbock passed away on April 15, 2026.

Cynithia was born on April 6, 1958, in Midland, Texas to Marcus and Geraldine Davis. She grew up in Spur, Texas and attended schools there. She worked at University Medical Center for 20 plus years as a contractor with Environmental Services. Cynthia was a talented seamstress, and she loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed working in her garden and loved all kinds of music.

She married Kareem Lateef on May 15, 1981.

Cynthia leaves behind her husband, Kareem Lateef; her children—Kareem Lateef, Jr., Qasim Lateef, Aishah Lateef, Idries Lateef, Jamilah Lateef,  Jamal Lateef, Milan Bethany, Porcha Young, Arthur Dibrell, Nathan Hicks, and Shena Lateef—as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
