Cynthia Lamkin Obituary Cynthia Lynn Lamkin passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born February 4, 1957, to Lawrence and Jenell (Bone) Lamkin in Lubbock, Texas. Cindy grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School. She worked at UPS for many years before deciding on a career change. She enrolled in Methodist School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Being an R.N. was a source of great pride for her. She lived in many places around Texas, including San Antonio, which she loved dearly, before returning to Lubbock in 2020. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Wayne Lamkin and two younger brothers, Marty Wayne Lamkin and Tommy Dale Lamkin, both of Lubbock. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jenell and Jady Gilbert of Snyder, Texas and her brother Edwin Andrew (Andy) Lamkin of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by her cherished cat Scarlett, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her celebration of life service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 9th, at Church on the Rock - North Campus, 4501 Milwaukee with Pastor Jackie White officiating. The family suggests memorial donations be made to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) at www.madd.org. Services
