Claudia Margaret Findley Obituary

(17 October 1941 to 13 August 2026)

On the 13th of August, 2026, at 84 years of age, Claudia transcended the bonds of this earthly

life to be with our Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Throughout her years, Claudia forged a life of service to God, Family, and Country. Beginning

her service in the United States Marine Corps, Claudia Margaret Windnagle met and married

Dale Morris Findley, also a former Marine. Together, they crisscrossed the country, developing a

multitude of Christian friends. Claudia continued her service as a pastor's wife and with civil

service in the US Department of Forestry and the VA Administration. Claudia eventually settled

in Lubbock, Texas, where she remained a faithful member of Redbud Baptist Church until her

passing.

Claudia was a beloved mother to David Findley and Richelle Findley of Lubbock, Texas, and to

Daniel Findley of Lebanon, Oregon. Claudia was a constant source of amusement for her

beloved grandson Daegan Findley of Greenville, Texas. Claudia is survived by her sisters Sylvia

Johnston and Anna Chrisman, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Claudia was one who never neglected an empty coffee cup, and when chastised about her

sweet tooth, tartly replied: " Who wants to live to be 100 when your brain is gone, and your body

aches?"

A celebration of life will be held on August 29th, 2026, at the Aloft Hotel Function Center.

Claudia's interment will take place in Rushville, NY, at a future date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Garrison

Institute on Aging | Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
