Obituary

Christina Michelle Gonzales, 42, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2026. She was born on August 29, 1984, in Lubbock, Texas, and lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and love for her family.

Christina attended training school for nursing, reflecting her desire to care for others and serve with compassion. Although her path later led her to become a homemaker, she continued to live out that same spirit of care in her home and family life. She created a warm and loving environment, and her presence brought comfort, stability, and encouragement to those around her.

At the age of 11, she was diagnosed with cancer. During that difficult time, she was gifted a horse through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a memory that remained special to her throughout her life. A talented young woman, Christina was awarded the title of best basketball player in high school, an honor that reflected both her athletic ability and her competitive spirit.

Christina enjoyed cooking and took pride in preparing meals for her family. She loved riding horses and treasured time spent outdoors and in the company of those she held dear. She especially cherished spending time with Ethan and Emily, and she found great happiness in watching Ethan rope and Emily play volleyball. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television show, Big Bang Theory, which brought her moments of laughter and relaxation.

Those who knew Christina will remember her as a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and loyal family member. She faced life with resilience and grace, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Her life was a testament to perseverance, devotion, and the quiet strength found in caring deeply for others.

Christina was the beloved wife of Joe Gonzales and the proud mother of Ethan Gonzales and Emily Gonzales. She is also survived by her father, Harvey Rolen; and two sisters, Chasity Gregg, and Crystal Arriaga. She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Nail Sellers.

Christina will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave, the strength she showed, and the lasting impact she made on her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
