Carolyn Thompson Obituary Carolyn Elaine Thompson of Lubbock, Texas departed this life, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, Tuesday, July 16, 2013. She was born into this life on November 27, 1943 to Warren G and Gracie Christene (Lack) Scarber in Oakland, California. Carolyn was a dedicated employee of Industrial Molding for majority of her working career. She was also very active member of Cornerstone Family Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Thompson and both her parents. She is survived by her brother Wayne Scarber and wife Dorothy; eldest son, Kenneth Thompson, middle son Brian Thompson and wife Regina of Lubbock; and youngest son Robert Thompson and wife Jennifer of Eugene, OR. Carolyn was lovingly referred to as "Meemaw" by her two grandsons, Casey, Cody and wife Angel, and five granddaughters; Christy, Audrey, Haley and husband Cale, Shelby and Gracie, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jusiah and Ayla. A graveside service, to celebrate Carolyn's 69 years of life, is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2013, at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Barry Tilley officiating.
