Obituary

Caleen Agene "Kelly" Macleod-Crespo, 62, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 17, 1963, in Morton, Texas, to Patricia Sims and Wendell Holloman, Caleen lived a life defined by fierce devotion, deep compassion, and an unwavering love for her family.

Caleen, known to many as Kelly, had a heart that was her greatest gift. She loved boldly, protected fiercely, and gave it endlessly. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews laughing, spoiling, teaching, and creating memories that will live on in each of them. Family was not just important to her; it was her purpose.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Sims; her sister, Venita Charlene Rose; her son, John Macleod Jr.; her first husband, John Macleod; her second husband, Lee Curry; and her beloved Aunt Janice.

Caleen is survived by her husband, Charles Crespo; her children, Belinda Macleod and Donald Macleod; and her son-in-law, Marcus Dent. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Serenity White, Miracle Fenty, Jade Castillo, Johnathan Mcanaugh, Marcus Dent Jr., JaCorius Dent, and Jude Castillo.

She is also survived by her father, Wendell Holloman of Austin; her stepmother, Camille Holloman of Austin; her brother, Bart Holloman; her nieces Samantha Lee (and her children Micah, Rylee, and Zachary), Sandra Rose (and her children Shawn, Bobby, and Venita), Randa Mccrary (and her children Aeson, Ashten, Jett, and Crue); and her nephew, Shawn Hallett.

To know Kelly was to feel loved. She embraced her family with her whole heart, celebrated every milestone, and stood strong through every storm. Her legacy is one of love wide, generous, and unforgettable.

Her family will forever cherish her laughter, her strength, and the way she made every person she loved feel like they were the most important in the world. Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Generations Church, 5201 University Ave, Lubbock, Texas 79413. The family is asking to wear Purple if you attend in memory of Kelly.
