Brandon Michael Gower, 47, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on August 10, 2026.

Brandon was born on August 16, 1978 in Borger, TX to Mike and Lorna Gower. He grew up in Sanford, TX, graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School, and later earned an associates degree from Frank Phillips College. His wide ranging talents and interests led to work on feedlots, auctioneering, the Johnson Ranch, Canadian River Municipal Water Authorities, TxDOT, and a number of golf courses. Brandon particularly loved working in the golf course industry and found a fulfilling career in that profession.

Brandon will be remembered for his dry, witty sense of humor, his wide and varied interests and abilities, and his compassion and generosity toward others. He frequented Allsup's convenient stores, even on holidays. He loved reading classic literature and philosophy, and even funny obituaries. He enjoyed hard work. He had a soft spot for his dog Huxley. He had a particular passion for any interest of his nephew or niece. And harassing his baby sister made him particularly gleeful.

Surviving are his parents Mike and Lorna Gower of Sanford. Sister Saundra Pounds and husband David. Aunt Lisa Burns of Cedar Hill, MO. Uncle Kevin Burns and wife Shelly of Stinnett. Uncle David Gower and wife Stacey of Porter, TX. Nephew Elishua Pounds and niece Elyann Pounds. Cousins: Josh Burns, wife Cassidy and son Jackson of Sneed Ranch; Jessie Burns of Stinnett; Michael Ogles and wife Christy of Conroe, TX; Casey Gower and wife Mary of Arlington, VA; Kalee Gower Sierra and husband Rick of Austin.

A private memorial was held on August 16, 2026 in Sanford, TX.

Brandon will be long remembered, loved, and missed by all who knew him.
