Barbara Laurence Obituary Services for our precious mother, Barbara Ann (Jeffcoat) Laurence, 78, of Shallowater, TX will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Agape Funeral Chapel in Lubbock with the Reverend William Eudy officiating and Associate Pastor David Pounds of The 12th Street Church of Christ in Shallowater assisting. Burial will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, TX. Barbara was born November 28, 1937 in Talco, Texas to George Vernon and Floyd Lambert Jeffcoat. She passed from this life on May 18, 2016 in her home in Shallowater after a lengthy battle with heart disease surrounded by her loving children. She was a graduate from Levelland High School in 1955, then continued on to Cosmetology School and opened her own Hair Salon in Levelland. She broke her foot in 1971 and could no longer continue to stand on her feet doing hair so she had to seek other means of employment, she worked at various car dealerships in the Lubbock area as a tax and title clerk and retired from McGavick Nissan in Lubbock at the age of 70. Our mother was selfless and her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds, she loved each and every one of us unconditionally, as was her love for her sister, nieces and nephews. Our mother was preceded in death by her parents: George Vernon and Floyd (Lambert) Jeffcoat; Brother in law, Bill Brewer of Lubbock; a sister, Melba Jean Jeffcoat; a niece, Brenda Kay Landrum); a son, Kelly Lynn Laurence; and a daughter, Kimberly Lynn (Laurence) Patterson. Our mother is survived by: a son, Jimmy Rust and (partner) Ken Long of Ft. Worth; a sister, Darla Deann Farmer of Lubbock; a son, Bryan Scott (Scotty) Lemond of Cedar Park, TX; her loving sister, Nellwyn Brewer (You are my sunshine, my only sunshine) of Corpus Christi, TX; her precious niece, Rhonda Jo (Brewer) Gordon and husband Sam of Corpus Christi; and nephew, Billy Norris Brewer of Lubbock. She has 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren The family would like to convey a special "Thank you" to Hospice of the South Plains, with special thanks to the caregivers and friends: Mindy, Eloise, Sparkle and Susan. We could not have kept our mother at her home where she wanted to be without your help. The family will receive family and friends from 5-7pm Friday, May 20th, at Agape Funeral Chapel. Services
