Obituary

Ashley Rae Terrell, 37, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on August 4th, 2026. A celebration of life service will be at Agape Funeral Chapel and Crematory on August 13th, 2026 at 3pm.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 6, 1988. Ashley loved higher education and attended a variety of colleges/universities. She attended South Plains College, Lubbock Christian University, and Texas Tech University. She was currently enrolled at Texas Tech University and applying to different Master's programs in Psychology before her untimely passing. She held her Associate's degree in Psychology and was pursuing her Bachelor's degree.

After many years of working with the elderly she started her own business, West Texas Training that specialized in certifying Nurse Aides and provided end-of-life training. She organized many charity events for the elderly and to give back to her community. She was passionate about learning and educating, but also had an immense adoration for music and art. She was an amazing artist who put her work on others in the form of tattoos. She loved spending time with her youngest children and grandchildren when she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Howdy Terrell.

She is survived by her brother, Colin Terrell and children, Lydia Rios, Athena Rios, Grace Garza, and Kobe Terrell; grandparents, Jerry Ann and Tim Bowman; and her grandchildren, Marceline and Marcelo.

Ashley will be remembered for her love of giving to others, her big heart, but also her extreme bluntness. She was always abrasive, nonchalant, and honest above all else. She was as REAL as they come. She had a unique sense of humor and laughter we will all remember. Her love of working hard will always be remembered.
