Steven Bennett

Steven (Ben) Claude Bennett passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the University Medical Center (Lubbock, TX). He was born on August 19, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Claude and Juanita (Wardle) Bennett. He served in the US Army and received several awards and medals before being honorably discharged. Steven (Ben) had many titles in his working years, mechanic, contractor, entrepreneur and more. He didn’t mind getting his hands dirty to get things done. He had a passion for painting, art, photography, cooking and loved to fly RC planes, drones and even race RC cars. He was called the neighborhood grandpa because he always had goodies for the kids and activities for them to do. He was a genuine big kid at heart and will truly be missed. Loving father to Mike Nguyen; Raymond (Kitty) Bennett; Victoria (Erik) Uhl. Proud grandfather of Steven Nguyen and Kaila Uhl. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1pm to 3pm. 3701 103rd Street, Lubbock, TX 79423.
