"A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take"

Jeanette Williamson Lawrie was born on November 30th 1934 to JC & Nora Mae Williamson. They moved to Lubbock Texas and began Williamson Maytag. After hosting one night at the service club at Reese Air Force base she met James Edwin Lawrie from Ohio who was stationed there. They married on Novermber 18th 1955 and made their home in Lubbock Texas and were married for 68 years.

During her life she was known as "Everyone's Mom". The house was the center of constant visits from all the kids... "the Kool-aid house", if you will. Her daughter's friends were known to come hang out even if the daughters weren't home. She was always right in the middle of all the craziness that went with raising her two girls and she and Dad loved every minute of it.

She is proceeded in her passing by her parents JC & Nora Williamson. Being the baby of a large family, all have passed including her Brothers Weldon, Tuffy(Roy) Calvin. Their respective wives Mary, Imogene, and Jo.As well as her sisters Thelma, Louise, Millie and their husband's Everett, Fred, and Bill.  Also her youngest daughter Lisa Sanders. She has many neices and nephews to carry on the family legacy.

She is survived by her husband James (Jim) Lawrie, His brother Larry from Ohio, her daughter Nita Fortner and her husband Danny. Their two sons along with his wife and 3 children with the promise of a great great grand baby in July.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice.
