Douglas Earl Bates

On Thursday, March 14th, 2024, Douglas Earl Bates went to be with our Heavenly Father.

Doug was born in Portales, New Mexico, but was a resident of Lubbock County for over 30 years. He served in the US Air force, volunteered for the New Deal Fire Department and was the owner of Wolfforth Appliance Repair. He loved to be at the lake, fishing and just being outside. He survived by his mother, Jeanetta Whitney, sister Patricia Burns, brother-in-law Sven Burns and his loving wife Carol Bates.

Viewing services will be held at Agape Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 20th from 5pm-7pm.

A graveside service will be held at Lubbock Cemetery on March 21st at 10am.
